Our Company

Our Business Model

Prysmian Group promotes a business model based on the concept of shared value through a strategic approach that considers the following elements to be key: listening to and actively involving all internal and external stakeholders, dedicating constant attention to the evolving global and industry context, and planning for the future in a responsible manner that considers the environment and society.

We strive to align the management objectives of the Group with the sustainability KPIs and, to this end, we have adopted a scorecard that enables us to manage social, economic and environmental matters as a part of our business activities. The Prysmian Group’s scorecard comprises 14 objectives with a business impact. These are clear and measurable objectives identified with reference to 3 parameters: the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 (SDGs) defined by the United Nations, requests from major International Sustainability Indexes and the needs and expectations of our stakeholders, which are mapped each year via the Group’s stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Global presence: International reach, Local expertise

We’re an innovative world leader when it comes to cable technology, and we match that with an impressive worldwide presence. Spanning 50 countries, 108 plants, 25 research and development centres, and with about 29,000 employees, weve a strategic footprint that allows us to service emerging markets and communities across the globe with ease.

Ethics integrity: Our Code of Ethics

“Trust” is one of our three corporate values. Trust is created through integrity, which we express using a series of instruments and policies. Our Code of Ethics therefore sits at the heart of our mission, vision and values as a company, and provides guidance on how we expect employees to conduct themselves as they go about their daily work. It is a vital tool in preventing irresponsible or illegal conduct.

This is supported by our Group Compliance Policies (including the Code of Ethics, the Anti-Corruption policy, Privacy and Data protection, and the Helpline Programme, among others) designed to ensure adherence from our employees, suppliers, business partners, sales agents, sub-contractors and distributors on the Prysmian way of doing business.
